                                                                                Actualmente soy miembro del Laboratorio de Procesamiento Neuromórfico del Habla (NeuSpeechLab) en el Centro de Tecnología Biomédica. Desde 2011 también he sido el Director Científico-Técnico de Glottex VAS SL, una empresa dedicada al desarrollo de soluciones biomédicas para el habla y la audición, y la monitorización y evaluación de enfermedades neurodegenerativas como la enfermedad de Parkinson, la enfermedad de Alzheimer, la Esclerosis Lateral y Múltiple, y otras, como la depresión o la demencia. Estoy promoviendo una Red Neurolingüística de Atención Plena para implicar a investigadores y logopedas en las aplicaciones clínicas de la producción y percepción del lenguaje.

                                                                                Pedro Gómez Vilda es investigador en el campo del Procesamiento de Señales, Acústica y Neurociencia. Su trabajo se centra en el desarrollo de algoritmos y arquitecturas innovadoras para el reconocimiento del habla, la reducción del ruido y el procesamiento auditivo.

                                                                                Algunos aspectos destacados de su investigación son:

                                                                                * Desarrollo de redes neuronales y técnicas de aprendizaje automático para la detección automática de alteraciones y trastornos de la voz.
                                                                                * Diseño de filtros adaptativos y formadores de haces para la mejora del habla y la separación de fuentes en entornos ruidosos.
                                                                                * Investigación de parámetros biomecánicos y análisis de ondas mucosas para el diagnóstico de patologías de las cuerdas vocales.
                                                                                * Creación de sistemas jerárquicos bioinspirados para el reconocimiento del habla y desarrollo de detectores de punto inicial robustos para condiciones ruidosas.

                                                                                También ha explorado la aplicación de redes neuronales a la espectroscopia de rayos gamma, utilizando algoritmos de memoria asociativa para el análisis automático de espectros. Además, ha trabajado en diseños de arquitectura VLSI para modelos auditivos, procesamiento coclear y procesadores multivaluados.
